We have some amazing spotlights to share!! Congratulations to the following PAX Leaders! Abraham has really turned a leaf this year in school. Over the past couple of months, he has shown remarkable growth, perseverance, and resilience. This month he demonstrated an incredible commitment to improving and pushing through adversity. He has proved that determination and a positive mindset can lead to real success. His recent progress is a testament to his hard work and ability to overcome obstacles, and it has not gone unnoticed. I am so proud of Abraham and am excited to watch him continue to grow. Brynleigh shines as a thoughtful, dedicated student who approaches every task with care and seriousness. She takes her time on tests to ensure her best work and consistently shows leadership by helping classmates and keeping the group focused. Her positive influence makes the classroom a better place for everyone! Kamdyn always works hard to do her best and to be her best. She is quick to remind others what the class expectations are. She broke her arm a few weeks ago and has not complained about it once. She is responsible and does her job of making sure we have our classroom backpack with us when we go anywhere. She enjoys sports, playing soccer at recess and goes to gymnastics regularly. It would be great to have a class full of students like her. Zane has made so much progress this year with his social skills. He uses his manners to thank others for their support. He uses "excuse me", Teacher names, and responds when other students sneeze with "Bless You". He has grown in his learning as well, but nothing takes the place or is as important as social skills. Sofia has worked hard and her efforts are showing! She is ROCKING her end of the year assessments, she continues to work hard, and even more important- she's realizing her abilities! So proud of her hard work and I can't wait to see her shine in 2nd grade. Yuliana has grown so much this year. I am so proud of how far she has come. She knows all her letters and sounds. She can count to 30 and write her name. She has become a good Pax leader and a good friend to her classmates. Way to go Yuli. Kross is super sweet. Kross has worked really hard this year to learn to write his name. He can count to 20. He is a great helper in the classroom and always has a smile and gives the best hugs. Kross is a good Pax leader and a great friend. Julian is a star student! He is focused in his learning! He continues to amaze me in math & reading. When praised I get to witness the slow grin that appears as if to say “Why would you expect anything less?” He just surpassed his reading MAP goal & I can’t wait to see what he does in math!

Before Spring Break, Mrs. Gowens had her first grade class draw monsters for our Juniors and Seniors in Mrs. Scott’s art classes to sew into stuffed animals. After several weeks of hard work, these high school students were able to present our first grade friends with a plush version of their monster.

The annual No More Frogs to Kiss girls summit was held at CCISD. This was the 24th year of this annual event to empower young women in ours and surrounding communities! NMFTK aligns with SHAC goals to bridge schools, families, and the community. This summit serves 3rd-5th girls by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make choices that align with their personal values and goals! This weekend was yet again, a huge success!
