Congratulations to all of these rockstar PAX leaders! They have been a true example of PAX over the last week and a half and we are so excited to celebrate them!

Matthew, you have shown so much progress in everything you do! You are setting goals and working hard to reach them, and it truly shows. Congratulations on hitting a reading level 8 in MindPlay—keep up the amazing work and continue striving for success!

Lola is rocking it coming back from break! She has shown incredible focus, determination, and effort, and it is truly paying off. Lola is a true rockstar and has reached a level 8.8 in MindPlay reading. This achievement reflects her hard work and commitment to learning. Keep pushing yourself, stay motivated, and continue working hard great things are happening!

Alaia continues to impress with her hard work in MindPlay, reaching a strong 8.8 level! Her progress shows how much effort and determination she brings to her learning each day. This milestone is a great example of her commitment to growing as a reader. Keep setting goals, believing in yourself, and striving for succes.Way to go, Alaia!

Ogden is always polite and helpful to others. He works diligently in every subject and makes sure his work is neat and complete. He is quiet during lessons, he lines up quietly. He raises his had to show he has great answers. He has a great sense of humor but it is lowkey and you might not notice it at first. He is a rule follower and wants to do what is right.

Fox  has become a PAX Leader  Deluxe! He works hard in class. He has moved an entire point in Mindplay from the last week before Winter Break to the first week after the new year. He reads at home, he likes sharing what he is learning or reading about. Fox thinks about things above and beyond what he is being asked. He rocks at math and knows his math facts well. He has a great sense of humor and brightens my day every day. He will admit a mistake in words or deeds but they are few and far between. He reminds others what they need to do to be PAX Leaders. The thing I am most excited about is Fox has become a reader. He loves reading and at the beginning of the year, he tried to tell me he couldn't read. It just goes to show what a little work and determination can do when you put your mind to do something like becoming a reader for life.

J'zelle works hard on her studies in class and at home. She is shy about answering but she will raise her hand to answer. She is quiet in class, takes care of her materials and is kind and friendly to everyone else. She brings small gifts of appreciation and gets excited when she understands a concept that is hard to learn.

Sofia loves school. I love that she loves school. She has grown so much this year in her academics. She is making strides in Reading and writing. She enjoys joking around and love to make the class laugh. She works diligently and has great answers to class questions. She is a fabulous guide and helper to others and takes her job as a student seriously. I enjoy joking with her and vice versa and us laughing together. She is becoming a wonderful citizen of the world and that makes her a terrific PAX leader as well. She is curious all the time and asks great questions, some of which are hard to answer. She is a truly fabulous member of our class.

Lux has great answers and works hard in class. He is a great artist but doesn't let it interfere with his work. He is always a good peer tutor. Lux enjoys sharing tidbits from his life or something associated with what were are  learning.
Congrats to you all, you are part of the reason our class is so wonderful this year.

Cora has been showing up and wanting to learn more every day. She is a complete math rockstar on our current lessons! She is working hard on her reading goals she has set and is always so positive every single day! Keep up the great work Cora and keep rocking!!

Maggie comes in every single day so positive and ready to be a PAX leader! She has set so many reading goals for herself and she is knocking them down and pushing herself more and more! I am so proud of her determination and her positive attitude! Keep up the amazing work Maggie!

Ms. Talbot's class has been watching Kindness 101 lessons each morning and discussing them. Friday, they learned that optimism sometimes only comes when we are grateful for things and people. They took Christmas treats around school to let the Teachers and staff know we were grateful for them and why. It was a great lesson in beginning Public Speaking. Afterwards, they put 5 tokens in their left pockets and when they think of or see something or someone they are grateful for we move it to their right pocket. They noticed that saying "they were grateful" sometimes came out as "thankful" when they talked to different people and the two are very close to the same meaning. The goal is that they will find themselves being more positive as they show gratitude in different ways.

Thank you to all of the moms, grandmas, aunts, and special guests who joined us for Muffins with Moms on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many families on campus and to share that time together. A special thank you to our teachers and cafeteria staff for their support and hard work in helping make the event run smoothly. We are also grateful to our Student Council members for hosting and welcoming our guests. Your time, effort, and involvement made this event a success, and we truly appreciate our school community.
