Our 4th Grade Braves had an AWESOME field trip to South Plains Electric Cooperative today! 🚌⚡️
Students had the opportunity to learn about electricity, electrical safety, the important work of linemen, and how to stay safe around power lines and electrical equipment through some pretty incredible hands-on demonstrations!
There were lots of wide eyes, great questions, and BIG smiles as our Braves learned just how powerful electricity can be! ⚡️
A HUGE thank you to South Plains Electric Cooperative for welcoming our students and providing such an engaging and memorable learning experience. We are so grateful for community partners who invest their time in educating and inspiring our kids! 💜💛

Our students kicked off their study of the five senses by focusing on their first sense—SIGHT! 👀🔍
As part of their learning, they got started building their very own Mr. Potato Heads! 🥔💜💛 Those little hands were busy creating, exploring, and learning all about how our eyes help us see and understand the world around us!

Today, Mrs. Davis had the special opportunity to visit classrooms and read to our students about the heroes of September 11, 2001, while sharing age-appropriate facts about this important day in our nation’s history.
We talked about the incredible courage of firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and everyday citizens who stepped forward to help others. Most importantly, we talked about what their example can teach us today—that courage, kindness, service, and helping others matter. 🇺🇸
Our Braves may be young, but they are never too young to learn that they can be helpers and make a difference in the lives of others. 💜💛
Today we remember. We honor. And we choose kindness. ❤️🤍💙
