Next week is red ribbon/rivalry week!

Fourth graders built "coolers" in science class out of random materials. They had to decide which materials would make the best insulators and keep ice frozen the longest. They tried many different materials and tested with hair dryer to see if the ice would melt.

Yesterday, 1st Grade mixed Reading, Math and Science with our very own Punky Pumpkin (class selected name and face)!
We read the story, learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, the vocabulary word decay/decompose, then we made predictions and counted seeds.
This project will be year long as we watch Punky go through the stages of the life cycle 🎃
