For Election Day, Elementary students practiced exercising their civil right to vote by voting for their favorite lunch option.
They created voter registration cards, checked into our voting center, cast their votes, and left with an "I Voted" sticker.
The votes are in and Pizza lunch won our election with an outstanding majority vote!

CCISD Thanksgiving lunch will be on Wednesday, November 13th.
Families are welcome to join their students- please see the schedule below. Cash only and each plate will be $5.25.

Monday, November 4, 2024 CCISD will have a student holiday. School will resume on Tuesday November 5.

On Wednesday, Ms. D's second graders were using a balance scale to find out how many of a specific item equaled the mass of different sized pumpkins. They enjoyed using classroom materials and were shocked at how heavy those little pumpkins could be in comparison to much smaller objects!

Pre-k and Kindergarten went trick or treating today!

This week, Ms. Talbots class made estimates on how many seeds were in a variety of pumpkins and sizes. Then they practiced counting by 2s, 5s and 10s. The next day they counted the seeds from the pumpkin they had cleaned in sets of 10.
After all were counted, we compared the estimates and actual count. We watched the "Too Many Seeds" read aloud and learned how to estimate the number of seeds or at least which one would have more.
Afterwards, we invited the other 2nd graders to taste pumpkin pie. Out of 28, 27 loved it.

Reminder for the Halloween Dance:
