Crosbyton HS received a report of a possible threat this afternoon. The administration and the Crosby County Sheriff's office immediately investigated this report. Thankfully the reported threat was found not to be credible. We encourage everyone in our school to report anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, and we appreciate those that came forward to make us aware of this situation. We also want to thank the Crosby County Sheriff's office for their prompt response to our call for assistance. Student safety is our number one concern, and we will continue to take the appropriate steps to keep our students safe while they are in our care.

Crosbyton Secondary Families, We got off to a great start Week 1 with attendance. We had an average daily attendance rate of 99%. In Week 2 we dropped significantly to 96%. Student attendance matters. Please reference the Student Handbook for expectations regarding student attendance. A copy of the handbook can be found on our website at www.crosbyton.k12.tx.us.

On behalf of the students at CHS I’d like to thank everyone that was in attendance at last nights football game. It was amazing to see a sea of purple in the stands supporting our Chiefs, Cheerleaders, Mascot and Chieftain Sound. Our year has gotten off to an amazing start and the support of our community last night was the icing on the cake to end our first two weeks of school. Again, thank you for your support and we hope that you will continue to pack our stands. Together we are STRONGER! -Hector Dominguez

Crosbyton CISD is proud to welcome all students to athletic events. These events are fun and exciting for all individuals. All Crosbyton CISD students must remain with their parents at all CCISD Athletic Events. Students will not be allowed to roam, play behind bleachers or near the concession stand, or stand along the white retaining wall. All student behavior is expected to be school appropriate. Any student caught using foul language or participating in actions deemed inappropriate by CCISD Administration will be removed from the game and asked not to come back. The CCISD Administration thanks all students and parents in advance for their cooperation and compliance with these expectations. We look forward to seeing you at the football games supporting our Chiefs, Cheerleaders, Mascot, and Chieftain Sound.
