Ms. Talbot's class has been watching Kindness 101 lessons each morning and discussing them. Friday, they learned that optimism sometimes only comes when we are grateful for things and people. They took Christmas treats around school to let the Teachers and staff know we were grateful for them and why. It was a great lesson in beginning Public Speaking. Afterwards, they put 5 tokens in their left pockets and when they think of or see something or someone they are grateful for we move it to their right pocket. They noticed that saying "they were grateful" sometimes came out as "thankful" when they talked to different people and the two are very close to the same meaning. The goal is that they will find themselves being more positive as they show gratitude in different ways.

Thank you to all of the moms, grandmas, aunts, and special guests who joined us for Muffins with Moms on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many families on campus and to share that time together. A special thank you to our teachers and cafeteria staff for their support and hard work in helping make the event run smoothly. We are also grateful to our Student Council members for hosting and welcoming our guests. Your time, effort, and involvement made this event a success, and we truly appreciate our school community.

Secondary Parents, don't forget to come have coffee with your student tomorrow morning at 7:30 am. We will be set up in the Middle School and High School hallways. We can't wait to see you!

Congratulations to our Weekly Staff Spotlight!

Congratulations to the perfect attendance winners for the last two weeks on the secondary campus!

4 of our Ag students competed in the Hamlin Weld-off yesterday.  Those students competing were Hunter Cruz, Nick Godinez, Johnathan Cantu and Riley Dunn.  During this trip they were also able to visit Cisco Jr. College in Abilene and tour their welding, auto mechanics and electrical schools.

Don't forget to join us for Muffins with Mom tomorrow from 7:30-8:00!!

Third graders are still working through science IN reading! We love these cross curricular units. Reflection, concave, convex ….. students discovered how concave reflects you upside down on a spoon. Lenses refract light that corrects vision problems! Refraction: when light changes speed, the angle of the light rays change and appear to bend!

Third grade reading has entered a cross curricular unit with science! Third grade scholars conducted a light experiment to see if objects are transparent or opaque.

Update on MS Basketball games in O'Donnell:
There will only be 3 games tonight starting at 5:00 pm

We've celebrated lots of students over the last week!! Our Pre-K rocked it at the Veterans program; and we had 10 students who exemplified PAX leadership and were true leaders at our UIL Contest in O'Donnell! Way to go PAX leaders!
