Congratulations to the following PAX leaders!

Fox-
In the land of the school, where the big thinkers play,
There’s a student named Fox who is leading the way!
With a leap and a bound and a zoom and a zip,
His reading has taken a two-grade-level trip.
He conquers the math with a whiz and a bang,
The smartest young Fox of the whole clever gang.
A scientist, too! With his seeds in the dirt,
He grows a green garden with nary a spurt.
But Fox is a PAX leader, honest and true,
Even when choices are tricky to do.
If a prank goes too far, or he’s teasing a bit,
He doesn't just hide or decide to go quit.
He cares for his teacher, he’s kind to the core,
He says, "I am sorry," then thinks even more.
Oh, the places you’ll go with that brain in your head!
Keep growing, dear Fox, just like you’ve said!

Sofia H
In the town of Grade Two, in a chair by the light,
Young Sofia H is reading each Saturday night!
(And Sunday and Monday and Tuesday nights, too,
She reads every book from the old to the new!)
When the sun pops up bright and it’s time for the day,
She has all her pencils and folders—hooray!
She doesn't lose papers or wander about,
She’s ready to learn, of that there’s no doubt.
She listens so well with her ears and her heart,
Of all of the students, Sofia is smart!
A reader! A leader! A star through and through,
Oh, the wonderful things that Sofia will do!

Sofia S
In the land of the classroom, a scholar we know,
With her books in her bag and a sparkle in tow.
Sofia S arrives with her pencils all set,
The readiest student you’ve ever met!
Every night by the light of a flickering lamp,
She’s a reading magician, a literacy champ!
While numbers and math make her stop for a blink,
She tries her quite best, though they make her brain think.
Now, she might pull a face or a "school is no fun" sigh,
With a look in her eye that is clever and sly.
She pretends that her teacher is someone to tease,
But she likes them a lot, and she does it with ease!
If you give a reminder, she’s quick to be kind,
The most respectful helper that you’ll ever find.
So hooray for Sofia! She’s bright as can be,
A reader, a leader, as all can see!

We LOVE celebrating our PAX Leaders and students who are working hard towards their goals! (Thank you to Raising Canes for helping us celebrate our students!) Congratulations to the following students!

Ogden comes in everyday ready to learn and has been absolutely rocking our new math module! He is always so positive and wants to be a helper to all his classmates! So proud of you Ogden keep up the good work!

Aria has shown so much growth and I am so proud of her! She is coming in everyday ready to get her things done and is knocking down all her goals that she has set! Keep it up Aria!!

Miles - A three pointer on the court is a sure shot for this little Brave. Speaking of sure shots, this brilliant scholar scores every time with writing and spelling. Oh, did I mention he scored a 16-point growth on his reading MAPS test? Way to put the points on the scoreboard Miles. Mr. Garcia is an excellent PAX leader and is eager to learn and serve. His sweet spirit and kind heart speak volumes, and I just love that about him. Keep it up Miles, #proudteacher!

Erick is a quick thinker and “wows” you with his background knowledge. He loves to share facts about the solar system. He is hilarious and a teddy bear at heart. His language arts growth of 14 points is something to be proud of, and his writing is an eye catcher. His words of encouragement and bear hugs are sweet affirmations that I appreciate Erick. This PAX leader is one to look for what he will conquer next. The next challenge is to master MindPlay!
Go Erick, I'm rooting for you!

Brianna-If there was a trophy for the best fighting spirit, I would say this little Brave would win hands down. Brianna works hard every day and never complains. She is not afraid to ask for help or clarification. She is sweet and polite and always uses her manners. I just love that about her. Brianna has a sweet spirit and a beautiful, kind heart. While working in stations, she always takes the time to say thank you, no matter how busy she is. I’m super proud of Brianna reaching and surpassing her language arts MAPS goal with 24-point gain. Way to rock MAPS Brianna, I’m proud of you, you amazing PAX leader!

Oaklyn came back to our class with her big smile and caring heart! She’s eager to learn and try her best. We’re so glad she’s back with us! Keep it up Oaklyn!

Bronson set a BIG goal this semester and has been working hard at sticking to his word! He’s staying more focused on himself, being a caring classmate, and working on controlling big emotions that comes with being a Cowboy! Bronson, I’m so proud of the work you’re putting into being the best version of you.

Aubrie has been a great PAX leader to her classmates. She is attentive in class and is helpful to her friends. Thank you for being a great student.

Madelyn is consistently ready to get her work done. Madelyn has come a long way from the beginning of this year and enjoys her math class. She is becoming a leader in class by ensuring her classmates are attentive and ready just like her.

Joshlynn is such a great participator in class. She loves to read and answer her math questions as fast as she can. Keep up the good work.

Jake has been a doing great this week as a PAX leader. He has been attentive and participates every day in class. Jake enjoys seeing solutions in a different way and loves to communicate that to his teacher, keep it up Jake.

Wyatt has been a big help in class. He gets his assignments done in a timely manner and also enjoys participating throughout the day. Wyatt enjoys helping his classmates and is willing to at any time. Thanks for your leadership Wyatt.
